I have just retired this website, since my energies are currently directed elsewhere and this site has been stagnating. If you are looking for the IB Theory of Knowledge course companion, which I wrote with Lena Rotenberg and Mimi Bick, I refer you to the website of Oxford University Press or the International Baccalaureate's online store. If you are looking for my blog on critical thinking applied to the world, please go to Triple A Learning blogs for the IB Diploma Programme and find Perpetual Notions: TOK meets the world. If you are looking for online professional development workshops for teachers, please go to Triple A Learning. The ones that I have developed and currently mentor include: the TOK Essay, the TOK Presentation, and Educating toward Global Citizenship. If you are looking for the online course Perspectives on Global Citizenship (Sociology 430) that I teach for the University of British Columbia, you will find more information in the university course description. If you are looking for my non-profit project of selling books and artwork, I refer you to Dombrowski Books and Art. My husband Theo is the artist and both of us make the books, raising funds for environmental and humanitarian registered charities.

| Eileen Dombrowski, Lena Rotenberg, and Mimi Bick: Theory of Knowledge Course Companion. Oxford University Press, 2007. This is available directly from Oxford University Press or from the International Baccalaureate's online store. This book covers the whole of the TOK course, addressing itself to students and centring the course on their exploration and discussion. It is strong in its cross cultural perspectives and commitment to thinking critically in the world. The penultimate chapter demonstrates the use of a case study (world hunger) for bringing together TOK aims and thinking skills. The final chapter guides students to good essays and effective class presentations. |
