Recently retired from careers in international education (primarily at Lester B Pearson College outside Victoria, BC), Theo and Eileen are attempting to use their complementary skills to raise funds for causes they support. All profits from work sold through this website will go to environmental preservation or humanitarian relief and development.
Theo contributes writing, photography, and artwork to the book and art projects featured in this website. He has considerable experience in writing, honed through a PhD in English and many years of teaching literature and writing skills at university and for the International Baccalaureate. He also studied drawing and painting at the Banff School of Fine Arts and the University of Victoria Fine Arts Department and has worked as a professional artist. Having put painting aside for many years, he now hopes to use his skills for meaningful projects.
Eileen brings to our projects her experience in writing, editing, digital photography, desktop publishing, and web design. She often claims that she is the second half of the team in these current projects -- that Theo is the artist and she is the publisher. Like Theo, though, she has written and taught writing for years, and has recently published with Oxford University Press a course book for Theory of Knowledge within the International Baccalaureate.
They have enjoyed doing the books, the art, and the website, and hope that you, too, will find pleasure in their reflections of the world we live in -- and a world we can imagine.

Mission: "to protect and restore the marine environment and promote the sustainability of Georgia Strait, its adjoining waters and communities." The Georgia Strait is the body of water between Vancouver Island and mainland British Columbia.
