Secret Beaches of Vancouver Island:
Nanaimo to Qualicum
by Theo and Eileen Dombrowski
This guidebook contributes to greater enjoyment of the eastern shoreline of central Vancouver Island -- and perhaps to greater appreciation of what we must preserve.
This 215-page book gives extensive information on nearly 100 beaches reached by public access points unfamiliar even to many people who live near them. It includes maps, photographs, artwork, and details on such features as ease of access, suitability for children or groups, sun and wind directions, and appropriateness for launching kayaks, beach walking, or other shore recreation.
SOLD OUT
An expanded, two-volume version of this book will be released in spring, 2010, by Heritage House Publishing Company. It will cover the entire southern part of Vancouver Island, from Victoria northward to Qualicum.

of Vancouver Island
by Theo Dombrowski
This children's book, suitable for ages 3 to adult, pairs Theo's paintings of 12 imaginary creatures with verse tales bringing each one to life. The poems have narrative appeal for children and an infectious rhythm that makes each fun to read aloud.
Driggle the Teensy, Bubbadrub the Seadragon, Zikotar the Zappy, Burple the Ice Cream Dragon, The Twins and the others are animated playfully. The 28-page book concludes with an appeal to children to appreciate and help to preserve natural habitat for wonderful creatures.
